Three Requests in the wish list
Hi,
I have three requests:
Request 1:
Please add the misssing graphs of the input/output tables from the old theoretical manual of PLE-micro-CAD in the new Ple4Win manual.
Request 2:
Please add the missing documentation about the element length from the old theoretical manual of PLE-micro-CAD in the new Ple4Win manual.
I have attached a PDF in this message about this old documentation.
Request 3:
Add extra loadfactors columns in the internal overpressure [PRESS] input table in Ple4Win, so that the loadfactor 1.25 can be manually changed to a higher value in case of the NEN 3650-2 (i.e. in (valve)stations) or in case of the Pipeline Handbook of Rotterdam. Now the factor (in case of the NEN 3650-2) is internally increased in the Ple4Win program by 1.25 for the internal design pressure only. If the General analysis method is used, the loadfactor of the LOCASE table is used (conform NEN 3650-2 it is 1.15), which means that the NEN 3650-2 factor 1.15 instead of 1.25 is used for the hoop stress (BC 2), which is not correct for the internal design pressure only. Try to standardise this in the PRESS input table by adding the loadfactor columns only for the hoop stress (BC 2), which is used in the General and NEN 3650-2 analysis method. For other loads in combination with the internal overpressure (i.e. BC 4) the LOCASE table loadfactor should always be used. In the output table two columns of PRESS values included the loadfactor should be presented: one used for BC 2 in output table LOADATA in the PRESS column and one used for BC 4 in output table INTFOR in the F-AX column.
Another way is to increase the LOCASE loadfactors input table with an extra column for the internal design pressure only (BC 2). Please make loadfactor jumps at Idents possible with multi-rows (so that the current 1-row input table is replaced and consistent with other input tables in Ple4Win) in the LOCASE table and by adding two columns for every loadcase.
