We are pleased to announce the release of
PLE version 4.9.0. This is a feature release that introduces several new capabilities, as outlined below, along with a new name and logo. While the branding is new, the name itself has long been used informally to refer to the software.
In addition to these updates, the software has been further enhanced with performance improvements and bug fixes. A complete overview of all new features and changes is available in the online
change log.
Highlights of this release:- The program has been rebranded and is now officially called PLE, with a new logo.
- Significant improvements have been made to the calculation of axial buckling and pipe implosion.
- The import from secondary database functionality has been overhauled, enabling fine-grained control over which data is imported.
As always, we recommend upgrading to the latest version, even if no issues have been encountered when using version 4.8.1.
